BEAUTIFUL FOSSIL FISH FROM THE SOLNHOFEN LIMESTONE
 
Here we can see a rare fossil predatory fish who belongs to the species Amiopsis lepidota. This late jurassic specimen was found in in the lower Tithonian beds of the world famous Solnhofen Limestone at Eichstaett (Bavaria, Southern Germany). The specimen originates from a private german collection.

Size of the slab : 33,7 x 20,5 cm
Size of the fish (metric) : 20 cm
Glued. But there is no restoration. Very nicely preserved.
