A delicate and fully articulated skeleton of a flying reptile.

This is a fantastic Pterodactylus dating to the late Jurassic period (150 Million-Year-Old) from the Solnhofen limestone discovered at Eichstaett in Southern Germany. The back skull is full of calcite crystals.

The small fossils around the skeleton are floating crinoids ! All bones are still in their original position, nothing was replaced. Unbroken stone.

The specimen originates from a private german collection and was discovered during the 1960s.
